The number of US women over age 55 using Facebook grew by 175.3% since September 2008, making mature females among the fastest growing demographic groups on the social network, according to statistics released by independent blog Inside Facebook.
These statistics are very interesting. What do you think the implications are? It seems to be that independent bloggers are dwindling, facebook is capturing a larger market share among "mature females?, and what is the market for twitter? It would appear to this observer that there is a movement away from social content to "Hi there! Isn't Micki O'Roucke wicked?"
