Paris syndrome (French: Syndrôme de Paris) is a transient psychological disorder encountered by some people visiting or vacationing in Paris, France. It is similar in nature to Jerusalem syndrome and Stendhal syndrome, which are all classified as a form of Voyager syndrome (Syndrôme du voyageur)...t is characterized by a number of psychiatric symptoms as acute delusional states, hallucinations, feelings of persecution (delusional belief of being a victim of prejudice, aggression, hostility to others), a derealization, a depersonalization, anxiety, and also psychosomatic manifestations such as dizziness, tachycardia, sweating, etc..

Dick Cheney has now accused the Obama Administration of politicizing the Justice Department...after his Administration criminalized the Justice Department.There's some navel gazing over at TPM wondering if Teddy's signature cause — health care reform — might gain a little momentum from the foot-dragging Dems, suddenly faced with a reminder of their own mortality and the shortness of a life, with or without achievement. Doubt it, but I could be less cynical if someone would soon (Sept. 15?) announce that there were enough willing votes in the Senate and enough willing wills to push it through on reconciliation.
