The incongruity of the U.S. spending billions on Afghan security so that China can safely mine all of their copper, is not lost on those of us who think the American Empire is Exhibit A as evidence of the Free Rider system for our Asian Frenemies. We pay all the security costs for oil or copper and Asia gets all the benefit.
