Remember When

Newt and his minions shut down the U.S. government? I remember it well. My clueless bunch of women on a weekend outing got to Dungeness Spit and found the park shut down. We couldn't go walk on the beach as planned. So we did something else instead, and grumbled about the goddam Republicans.
What I had forgotten is why.
