BANG!

Cosmologists estimate the Big Bang occurred about 13.7 billion years ago, when all the matter and energy that would eventually constitute the universe was concentrated in a space smaller than the period at the end of this sentence at ineffable pressure and density. Shown below is the picture...

  1. When you think about it, this is probably less important to the human race than what Paris Hilton did today. Where did the "little period" containing all the energy and matter in the universe come from? Why did it explode when it did? Why not a second or two earlier? Why not a second or two later? What difference would this have made to what you are at this very moment? Would this have changed the outcome of the 2010 World's Cup?

    It does sort of puts that little gas you get from eating too much garlic seasoned food into perspective, doesn't it?
