Taplin's Economics

Are we on our way to some other "general theory?" Taplin thinks capitalism is fatally flawed, but he's no Socialist.
What, then? Stay tuned.
I don’t pretend to have the answers. What I do know is that the conventional wisdom is wrong and name calling from the The Club for Growth and Rush Limbaugh is not going to help us find a solution.

  1. Or, you could read this recent work:

After Socialism: Reconstructing Critical Social Thought (Paperback)

    by Gabriel Kolko

there is a Kindle edition as well as paperback. Taplin is a lightweight compared to this man.

  2. Okay, here's the thing. Taplin is blogging. Kolko is working in the traditional academic mode. He researches deeply, he thinks deeply, he concludes and he writes. Every few years.
Taplin is a blogger. He puts it down as it happens in his head and in the world.
What I'd love from you is a sentence or two synthesizing Kolko, so I have a reason to read him. Tempt me. Put a little salt on it.
